Officially a WEEK in Germany!

I know I'm a little late starting this blog, but hey better late than never!!!!

In only this first week here in Germany, I moved in with Corey, he is a teacher and is letting Kristen and I stay at his house, met my mentor teacher, somewhat learned how to use the bus system and most importantly (in my humble opinion) celebrated my 22nd BIRTHDAY!!!

Here are pictures of my bedroom!
I got the smaller of the two beds, but I'm right next to the bathroom and only up one flight of stairs.
All of my clothes that my mother believes I overpacked!
And my bed, futon, and table with my map on it that is extremely useful! :)

Corey, Scott (another teacher), Kristen and I went out in downtown Kaiserslautern, also
know as K-town. We first went to a bar on the 21st floor on a building and had wine and an amazing view! We went to another bar after that where they gave me a FREE glass of champagne and a glow bracelet. We then went to yet another bar and got a meter! Which is basically a flight BUT it's a meter long and there was about 18 glasses of beer in it!

Needless to say, I had a fantastic birthday! One that I am going to remember forever!!!!!!

School has been AMAZING! I can describe the love and support that I have already recieved from not only my mentor, Sally, but also the whole entire Kaiserslautern Elementary School community! Everyone there is willing to help me and really make me feel like I belong! I felt so special today that the secretary even remembered to include me on the welcome back to school bulletin board. (My name is on the bottom in the center if you couldn't fine it ;)) I've also decided to join a bowling league with some teachers!!! I hope I am not the worst bowler there! It hasn't been all games though; I have learned so much in only the 4 days that I have been! I know that I am going to learn so much this semester!

This is the beautiful village that I am staying in. It's called Otterberg. Next to Otterberg there is Otterbach...which I was intertwining the first few days not realizing that they are two different villages. OOPS! Is this not one of the most beautiful places you have ever seen?!

Well it's time for me to get ready for school tomorrow! FIRST WEEK! The students are so cute-I am so excited to get to work with them! And DUBLIN this weekend with Kristen and Heidi! Fun filled week and weekend!
